Cassie Blausey
Cassie Blausey, JD, is a lecturer at the University of Louisville and co-founder of Sagebird Consulting, a nonprofit strategy and impact firm in Louisville, Kentucky. Nationally published, her scholarship focuses on education policy, civic leadership, and public policy, and she teaches an undergraduate honors course, Doing Democracy in Louisville.
Her path was not a straight line. After Centre College, she began as a first-grade teacher through Teach for America, learning that leadership means making complicated things simple enough to act on. She earned her Master's at UNLV and her law degree at the University of Louisville's Brandeis School of Law.
Cassie serves as a Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana Troop Leader, plays flute for the Louisville Winds, and is the Democratic candidate for Kentucky House District 29. A 40 Under Forty honoree and Kentucky Colonel, she lives in Louisville with her family.
